Course Details

The 13.1 mile course will take runners and walkers thoughout Hickory, beginning Downtown, going down by our lakeside through Bud Geitner Park, continuing through the Lenoir-Rhyne campus and past Hickory High School heading to Viewmont, and circling back to finish Downtown.

Expected Attendance

This Innaugural event is expected to draw 300-500 athletes and their families from accross the Carolinas, the Southeastern United States, and beyond.

Participants

Both runners and walkers are welcome to participate in the event in order to draw more of a variety of athletes representing all ages and skill levels.

Demographics show that runners tend to be affluent, health conscious, and eager to purchase and try products that suit their active lifestyle.

Many community volunteers will be involved in the successful execution of the event. We will also be sending letters to citizens who reside along the course to encourage them to participate by cheering the runners, making this a true community event.

Purpose

Proceeds from the Charity Chase will benefit local charilies to help make a difference in our community.

In-Kind Sponsorship

We will be happy to receive in-kind sponsorsip for this event. All in-kind donations will be assessed at half their value to count toward above sponsorship levels and must be approved by the Charity Chase Committee. We guarantee not to accept competing sponsors upon receipt of the Corporate Sponsorship Agreement at the Gold Level or above.
